About LibertyActivist.orgLibertyActivist was the brainchild of Perry Thompson and Bryan Sampsel. Perry had written an article for Keep and Bear Arms about how to organize and run your own grassroots organization instead of relying on larger organizations that require lots of money and may not be as effective for local issues as for national issues. The local groups can impact local issues reflecting infringements on liberty and freedom. A short time later, Bryan Sampsel contacted Perry regarding setting up a Second Amendment resource site. After some discussion, LibertyActivist.org was born...a site dedicated to supporting any liberty loving and pro freedom organization that fought for issues that affect us all. We would supply the technical tools, all located in one place, and the small grassroots organizations could utilize the tools as needed. Typically, to set up "free" internet resources, somebody within an organization must track down several places that offer different services: email, web hosting, list servers, etc. To the non-technical individuals, this is intimidating and to the technical individuals, this is time consuming. Our goal is to provide as many resources as possible in one location: web hosting, email, email list server (email based discussion groups), web based discussion forums, and additional tools as time progresses.
